To meet rising demand, we’re growing our Outsourced Cashroom Services Team and are looking for a detail-oriented and client-focused Legal Cashier. The Role
As a Legal Cashier at Denovo, you’ll deliver critical outsourced finance services to a variety of Scottish law firms. From processing daily transactions to submitting VAT returns and ensuring full compliance with the Law Society of Scotland’s Accounting Rules, you’ll keep our clients’ financial operations running smoothly and compliantly.
You’ll work as part of a supportive and collaborative team, helping onboard new clients and acting as a trusted finance partner to multiple firms. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys working across multiple accounts, and is passionate about service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Law Society of Scotland Accounting Rules
- Process daily receipts and payments across client and office accounts
- Allocate fee payments and manage legal aid transactions
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC
- Manage payroll, firm invoice payments, and surplus transfers
- Create fee notes and monitor SLAB payments/abatements
- Complete bi-annual Accounts Certificates
- Handle BACS and CHAPS transactions
- Communicate with clients to confirm funds and resolve queries
- Support client onboarding and year-end processing
Required Skills and Experience
- SOLAS qualification (Society of Law Accountants in Scotland)
- Proven experience as a Legal Cashier in the Scottish legal sector
- Strong knowledge of Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules
- Excellent numeracy and attention to detail
- High level of IT literacy, including Excel and cloud-based tools
- Professional communication skills and client service orientation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Denovo’s legal software
- Background in an outsourced cashroom or multi-client finance environment

To support our continued expansion, we’re growing our Implementation Team and looking for a talented and motivated Training and Implementation Consultant. If you’re passionate about client success and eager to make a difference in legal technology, this is your moment.
The Role
As a Training and Implementation Consultant, you’ll be the essential link between Denovo and our clients during their onboarding journey. Whether you’re guiding brand-new users or helping seasoned firms adopt new features, you’ll ensure they get the very best from Caseload.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with our 6-person Training & Implementation Team, collaborating across departments including Data Migration, Software Development, Technical Support, and Business Development to deliver smooth rollouts and high-quality training experiences.
This role is perfect for someone with a background in legal practice or legal tech, who thrives on communication & attention to detail, and creating real impact for clients.
Responsibilities
- Managing end-to-end implementations: system setup, client configuration, and user training
- Building lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders to support project success
- Translating complex legal and accounts processes into seamless system functionality
- Delivering tailored training via remote sessions and in-person visits — from one-to-one to group formats
- Creating support materials like video tutorials and training documents
- Following up post-implementation to ensure successful adoption and client satisfaction
- Collaborating with technical teams to resolve issues and spot enhancement opportunities
- Integrating third-party apps with CaseLoad where required
- Staying current on platform updates and legal tech trends
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience with legal case management systems (e.g. Denovo, LEAP, Clio, Lawware)
- Strong understanding of legal workflows and operations
- Proven experience managing client onboarding or software implementations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Great organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects
- Business analysis experience (e.g. requirements gathering, UAT, mapping)
- Strong grasp of software training and user mentoring
- Change management and client success know-how
- Eagerness to quickly get to grips with software updates
- Familiarity with legal accounts/cashroom processes
- High IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and remote meeting tools
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Background in a legal department or firm
- Experience using Caseload
- SOLAS qualification
- Experience working remotely or in a hybrid legal tech environment
