Denovo clients are now eligible to receive free software licenses for their new trainee solicitors.

Denovo is committed to ensuring that all law firms are able to provide the next generation of lawyers with access to an educational and productive traineeship experience, regardless of the financial and logistical challenges firms may face due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

By extending Denovo access to new trainees, law firms will be able to fully integrate their brand new colleagues into their business. Students will be able to continue their legal education by gaining real-world experience while contributing to the success of their new law firm.

Steven Hill, Operations Director at Denovo, said; “Law students are facing a lot of uncertainty right now as they seek answers on how their development will be, and we are determined to do what we can to support them. By offering free licenses for new trainees, we hope to encourage our partners to continue offering law students the opportunity to learn and grow with them. While the challenges presented by COVID-19 may seem daunting, this is an incredible opportunity for law students to experience and even contribute to the ingenuity displayed by law firms across the country.”

Holly O’Hara, 2nd year trainee at Jones Whyte Law said; “It is as competitive as ever to gain a traineeship, even more so during the uncertainty faced by law firms as a result of Covid-19. It is therefore more important than ever for law firms to have an incentive to continue offering traineeships and hiring trainees. Often, there is simply no time to train a new member of staff on the firm’s software and technology, especially in fast-paced firms. Even when time is dedicated to this training, to an extent, trainees are expected to learn (and learn quick) and get up to speed on the technology and software they will be using for the next two years, at least.

Being tech-savvy and knowing how to effectively use your firm’s systems and software will benefit every trainee. The importance of being able to use technology has been highlighted with the majority of the legal sector being forced to work from home as a result of Covd-19. This transition was effortless for my firm thanks to the efforts of our operations team and Denovo, and because we have an emphasis on working predominantly on the cloud as far as and as efficiently as possible in normal circumstances, anyway.

The free software licenses for trainees introduced by Denovo is a fantastic idea. I fully expect this will be an incentive for firms to take on trainees in the knowledge that they will quickly be brought up to speed on the system and how to operate this.”

Complimentary licenses for new trainees are included as part of the subscription for all current Denovo clients. Training will be available for new trainees using Denovo for the first time.
